Congratulations to graduate Diego Vila Peña, who graduated in December 2023!! He graduated with a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Honors Studies. He joined the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab in Fall 2022.

In October 2023, Quade White, an undergraduate RA, presented his research on “Sleep-Dependent Memory Consolidation is Influenced by Affective State.” He was the only undergraduate that presented at the whole conference!! Congratulations to Quade for this achievement.

Michael Price presented his research at SLEEP2023, the Annual Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies, LLC in Indianapolis, Indiana from June 4 – June 8, 2023. His poster was titled, “Dreams and Personality Influence Creativity.”

Our lab director, Dr. Carmen Westerberg, was recently promoted to being a full Professor, effective 9/1/2023. This is a huge honor in the world of academia and the result of years of hard work. Congratulations to her!!

Congratulations to Diego Vila Peña, who received the Matthew Pecot Fellowship from the McKnight Endowment Fund for Neuroscience to work in the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab for the next year. This is a very prestigious award and we at the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab are very proud of him!
