Congratulations to Dr. Carmen Westerberg and Dr. Ken Paller (Northwestern University) for being one of four recipients of the Memory and Cognitive Disorders award from the McKnight Endowment Fund for Neuroscience. Their project entitled Does Superior Sleep Physiology Contribute to Superior Memory Function? Implications for Counteracting Forgetting will receive $300,000 over the course of three years and will explore the role of sleep in memory consolidation by studying individuals with highly superior autobiographical memory.
